Sergey Byčkovskiy’s photography exhibition “A Black and White Winter Tale”

Here the movement and stagnation of opposites meet, fragility and strength, transience and a sense of eternity. The black and white photographs reveal the character of winter nature: frost-covered branches, solidifying ice, slow or rushing water. The flow of water evokes a continuous passage of time, while ice is a moment that momentarily stops motion. This tension creates a subtle dialogue between life and stillness.

By abandoning colour, the eye focuses on shapes, textures and the play of light. Black and white becomes not only an aesthetic choice, but also a way to purify the feeling of letting oneself experience winter as a state rather than as cold.

It is an exhibition about the boundary between water and ice, between movement and silence, between the moment and eternity.

We invite you to stop, take a look and experience this tale of silence and light.

The exhibition runs until 30 March. The exhibition will be on display until 30th of October at the open space on the 3rd floor of the Naujoji Vilnia Culture Centre.
