We invite you to an exclusive open-air meeting of art and music – the plein air event “Between Colour and Sound – Čiurlionis”, which will take place on 21 September 2025 at 2 pm in the square in front of the Naujosios Vilnia Culture Centre (Gerovės g. 1).
Have you ever dreamt that music and painting would merge into one unique experience? This event will make it a reality. Educational activities are part of the 150th birthday celebrations of Čiurlionis and the Culture Day programme.
We will enter the world of Mikolas Konstantinas Čiurlionis’ work – where sounds become colours and colours become feelings.
Together with artist Vytautas Tomaševičius, we will embark on a creative journey inspired by Čiurlionis’ art. You will be accompanied by the live music of the Ad libittum String Quartet, and every brush stroke will be accompanied by the vibration of the strings.
The open-air workshop is open to everyone – because everyone can create. Even if you’ve never picked up a paintbrush before, this is a great opportunity to try your hand. The most important thing is an open heart, curiosity and the desire to create.
All creative tools will be provided – just bring a good mood.
At the end of the workshop, we invite you to take your time and enjoy a cup of tea, a light snack and an open-air gathering together.
Come along. Feel. Create.
