VI Republican Folk Dance Festival “<\/strong> Prie Vilnel\u0117s<\/strong> “<\/strong> <\/p>\n October 17 at 2:00 p.m. at the Naujoji Vilnia Cultural Center, 1 Gerov\u0117s St., Vilnius <\/p>\n The following folk dance groups will be performing:<\/strong><\/p>\n “LINAS” (Panev\u0117\u017eys),<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cGIR\u0116NAI\u201d (\u0160akiai),<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cEGL\u016aNAS\u201d (Ukmerg\u0117),<\/strong><\/p>\n “GAJA” (Ignalina District),<\/strong><\/p>\n “LANKESA,” “VOLUNG\u0116” (K\u0117dainiai),<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/strong>\u201c\u0160OKTINIS,\u201d \u201cGRIJA,\u201d \u201cLENDR\u016aNAS\u201d (Vilnius).<\/strong><\/p>\n During the festival, the audience will enjoy live folk music, lively dances and exquisite folk costumes. But it’s not just an artistic programme. “Prie Vilnel\u0117s” is an important community event that gives people of different generations the opportunity to come together, share experiences and strengthen their cultural identity together. <\/p>\n The festival promotes the traditions of folk dance and encourages pride in national heritage. It also contributes to the revitalisation of the cultural life of the Naujoji Vilnia community, strengthens interconnections and creates an open and friendly space for meetings.
