The Naujoji Vilnia Cultural Center contributes to the cultural partnership between Lithuania and Poland<\/strong><\/p>\n The Naujoji Vilnia Cultural Center has become part of an international partnership aimed at strengthening cooperation between Lithuanian and Polish cultural institutions and jointly developing new cultural and educational initiatives. The partnership has been established with the Museum of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, which is currently carrying out one of the largest investment projects in its history. <\/p>\n European Union funding has been allocated to the Museum of Warmia and Masuria in Olsztyn for the project \u201cA Modern Museum Within Historic Walls \u2013 The Castle of the Warmian Chapter\u201d (\u201cA Modern Museum Within Historic Walls\u2014The Warmian Chapter Castle in Olsztyn, a historical monument that bears witness to the work of Nicolaus Copernicus: Enhancing Tourist Attractiveness\u201d).<\/p>\n The total value of the project is more than 76.3 million zlotys. The project is being implemented under the program \u201cEuropean Funds for Infrastructure, Climate, and the Environment 2021\u20132027\u201d (FEnIKS), Priority VII \u201cCulture,\u201d Action 7.1 \u201cInfrastructure for Culture and Cultural Tourism.\u201d The project implementation period is 2026\u20132029.<\/p>\n The historic castle will become a modern cultural center<\/strong><\/p>\n The project aims to comprehensively modernize the Warmia Chapter Castle\u2014one of the most significant historical monuments in the Warmia and Mazury region, inextricably linked to the astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus.<\/p>\n Restoration and construction work will be carried out, new exhibition, educational, and display spaces will be created, and visitor facilities will be expanded. The museum also plans to implement modern digital solutions that will help present cultural heritage in a more engaging way and make the museum\u2019s offerings more accessible to diverse groups of visitors. <\/p>\n However, the significance of the project extends beyond the modernization of infrastructure. An important part of it is international cooperation and the creation of new cultural content. <\/p>\n Five joint meetings\u2014from Olsztyn to Vilnius<\/strong><\/p>\n Through their collaboration, the Warmia and Mazury Museum in Olsztyn and the Naujoji Vilnia Cultural Center will seek to develop cultural and educational content based on the historical and cultural heritage of Warmia and Mazury and the Vilnius region.
